FAQ’s

How do I get the right garden design for me?

We will work closely with you to make sure the design we create is perfect for you. We consider many aspects of the design such as the purpose of the garden, for example if you will be using it as a space to relax in, spend time with family or entertain friends? We also consider the level of maintenance required to suit your preferences and the budget you give us.

How much does a garden design or planting plan cost?

This will depend on the size of your project. Some garden designs might cover a part of your garden or estate or you may wish to discuss a design for your whole garden. Every design project is different.

How much does the installation cost?

This will also depend on various factors such as the size of the garden, the materials and plants used, how extensive the design is and what kind of work is being done. Please get in touch for more information.

How long does the process take?

The first draft of your garden design will usually be ready for you within four weeks. We will schedule a visit to your garden to take measurements for the scale plan and discuss your preferred style, how you use your garden, how much you like to do yourself, assess your soil type, the position relating to the sunny/shady areas and existing plants and trees.

What is included in each design?

Each design includes and extensive 2D design detailing the location and names of all plants and features. Also included is a plant care guide with information on how to take care of the plants, what pests and diseases to watch for and effective treatment solutions.

What is the regular care process like?

The regular care process can be as often or as infrequently as you like. We see some of clients twice a week, and others once a year so we are able to tailor it to your own and your gardens needs. Once we have discussed what those are, we can make a formal plan going forward.

Can I have the same day for regular care every month or week?

In most cases we are able to keep to a particular day if that is beneficial to you, but can also work with some flexibility.

What hapens if the weather makes you unable to work?

We aim to continue working until weather conditions make it impossible to do so, but if  we cannot even attempt it then we will contact you and reschedule.

Do I need to provide any tools or equipment?

We come fully equiped with all tools, so there is no need to provide us with your own.

What happens to any waste?

In most cases an onsite compost pile is preferable, but we are able to take most waste away with us if that is not possible.
